In a TV news landscape where it’s impossible to know whom to trust, one man rises above the partisan hackery of the mainstream media to bring you the only truth that matters: his. From the fringe-friendly mind of Jordan Klepper, this man represents The Opposition.
"These kids they're experimenting with civic activism, and political engagement, real freaky deaky stuff. So I'm here to tell them to knock it off, because it's gross. This is 'The Opposition Chaperones Democracy.' There needs to be an adult in the room before these kids do something crazy, like let their sincere and heartfelt message resonate with the nation’s lawmakers to enact common sense measures that could save lives. That would be insane,” said Klepper. “Adults should step in and do what they do best… nothing. So kids, maybe step back and leave the change to us adults because we're the best at making sure nothing happens to it.
"I wanna speak directly to all the adults out there. The Opposition needs you to help chaperone democracy at the March for Our Lives this Saturday," Klepper pleaded last Wednesday from nearby Rockville, Maryland. "These kids are hopped up on hormones and activism and we need mature adults to go undercover and infiltrate their movement. Go to the march. Learn their chants. Maybe even carry a sign. It's all hands on deck. See ya Saturday."
Be sure to watch The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper tonight at 11:30 p.m. eastern on Comedy Central to possibly catch some of Klepper's coverage of Saturday's March for Our Lives rally in Washington, DC., and for my Suffield High School friends to see that Klepper really is Jonathan Griffin's doppelganger in looks but even more in mannerisms and manner of speech!
