Number 7 of 7 in my many times requested and long overdue black and white photo challenge.
The second full moon of July 2015 wowed skywatchers around the world - and even in space - on Friday July 31, offering the lunar treat of a so-called Blue Moon that hasn't been seen since, and won't be seen again until later this month on January 31st. This year, in 2018, we have two months (January and March) that harbor a Blue Moon. That is, it's a Blue Moon by the monthly definition of the term: the second of two full moons to fall within a single calendar month.
