It's Throwback Thursday and we're headed back to a photograph first run in January 2014. This is part of my many times requested and long overdue black and white photo challenge. Original text follows.
I have a professional and personal interest in codes, the written word, and art; the first two being a subset of the latter. Jim Sanborn, an Alexandria, Virginia-based artist has made a number of masterpieces bringing each of these elements together. He is the same artist behind the famous "Kryptos" which is at Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters which contains still a passage unbroken by CIA, National Security Agency, or any other cryptographers in the world. His sculpture depicted here, "Lingua" is a two piece sculpture installed at the Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington, DC.
