Sweet spring arrived today. It is my favorite of all seasons because it has within it the promise, excitement, and anticipation of warmth, new life, and all the fun and adventure of summer (without the unbearable heat).
If you were here in the DC Metro area today you wouldn't know that spring arrived by the winter storms that are upon us today and tomorrow. But that's okay. Spring wouldn't be so sweet without the winter preceding it. Winter Storm Toby is making the anticipation and chase of spring all the more satisfying. There is nothing better to remind us of how wonderful our spring is in a week or two, than this immediate juxtaposition of a winter storm. Bring it on Toby! The best of spring is right around the corner.
