We love this cat. He means the world to us. As long-winded and full of words as I can be, I still can't express what Luke Catwalker means to us.
Since we adopted Luke from the Loudoun County Animal Services on December 30th of last year he's become such an important part of not just our household, but in our day-to-day happiness and lives.
In those months he's gone from nervousness when I pointed a camera and lens in his direction or from the flash of my studio strobes, to a shared interest in it. He's learned that his daddy appreciates him hoping up on whatever is in my subject area, whether that's a stool sitting there after a headshot session to a table after shooting a product photography session.
He spends a lot of time during the day sitting with me in my office. When I depart that and pass through the studio space, he's anxious to jump up in the photographic area and pose for me. When I'm not going to shoot him I just walk over and love on him and occasionally give him a treat. When I do want to shoot him it's perfect. He just sits there proudly, handsomely, and patiently lets me set up my lighting, meter the lighting, and then photography him. It's like we're a team working toward the same goal.
In any case, I had a fun and funny afternoon with Luke in the studio today, all to wish each of you, a very Happy Halloween from the Remington's: Jen, Luke, and Jim!
