This is the third photo from Mandalay Bay that I've posted this week . . . the first was on Saturday September 30th before any of this horrible tragedy was unleashed on Las Vegas, our nation, our world, and most importantly the 59 killed and more than 500 injured. I wish all of the posts had been as positive a post as the first.
Mandalay Bay was home to the Photoshop World Conference that I attended there in 2014, 2015, and 2016. I photographed this side view of Mandalay Bay during PSW15 on August 14, 2015 just after 7 a.m. when the sun's strong reflection was blasting back from the hotel's bright gold reflective windows.
While news of this incident has been filled with horror, it has also, I'm thankful to say, been filled with light, many wonderful stories of compassion and good people doing extraordinary things to help out their fellow man. Choose to be compassionate. Choose to be a light in this world.
“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
