Throwback Thursday, and I'm throwin' back to February 22, 2014, with an abstract architectural photo I took during my Boston University architectural exteriors class with Washington, DC architectural photographer Chris Spielmann of Spielmann Studio.
Chris is offering a slimmed down single day version of the course as part of Professional Photographers of America's (PPA's) Super 1 Day courses, titled "Exploring Interior and Exterior Architectural Photography" on October 2nd in Washington, DC.
Sign up for Chris' class by September 28th for the best price right here: http://www.ppa.com/edu/
You don't have to be a PPA member to attend, and see more of Chris' work at: http://
All Super 1 Day attendees will receive the bonus pack, featuring offers and discounts from several photographic companies including my print lab of choice, Bay Photo Lab, as well as CG Pro Prints, DriveSavers Data Recovery, Drobo, Finao, FUJIFILM, H+H Color Lab, ProMedia Gear, Richmond Professional Lab, ShootProof, and Tyndell Photographic Packaging.
What you're looking at here is the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, which is housed in one of the most interesting piece of architecture in America's capital city. It's distinctive curvilinear form was designed to evoke a wind-sculpted rock formation. I took this photograph standing nearby the east entrance to the building looking almost straight up into the overhangs to capture the beauty of the curves playing against the straight lines in the windows.
I hope you enjoy today's J.W. Remington Photographics' Photo of the Day for September 14, 2017!
