Today Luke Catwalker Remington celebrated his first birthday with us in our home which happens to be number four for the birthday boy!
Since adopting him from Loudoun County Animal Services on December 30th of last year, Jennifer, Luke, and I had have had a wonderful time growing together as a family. He's brought us so much happiness we're not sure how we ever got along without him.
Some have called us cat-crazy, and we're fine with that. It might even be a little deserved. A few days ago Luke got a Frisco 72-inch Cat Tree for his "cat room" from Chewy.com and today a Gen7Pets Regal Plus Pet Stroller from HomeGoods. We even took that stroller out for its maiden voyage this afternoon and as much as it was a bit odd for him at first, he wound up really enjoying it. And for dinner tonight, he enjoyed a nice chicken meat cake complete with candles.
Speaking of birthday celebrations . . . I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Luke and I are sending out a big Happy Birthday to Jennifer who also shares Luke's birthday. . . . Thank you for all the love and happiness you bring to our lives!
The reality on Luke's birthday is that we don't know his exact birthday, just that he was born in September 2013 as a stray under a porch somewhere in Loudoun County. Sometime later he was rescued by a nearby family and stayed with them until last December when they had to give him up. Uncertain of the exact date, Jen decided that he would share her birthday, the 5th of September. Without objection the motion was accepted.
Happy Birthday Jennifer & Luke!
