On Friday December 30th I went out to see Star Wars Rogue One and returned with a cat named Luke. Thanks you Loudoun County Animal Services for what you do.
Luke is a 3 1/2-year old Tabby whose family had a child allergic to cats so they had to give him up. He was brought in the morning that we stopped in for a look and we connected with him. So lucky for him, he never even spent an overnight.
He's still getting accustomed to his new humans and new home, but we're bonding nicely. And believe me, the Force is strong with this one!
This is one of the first shots I got off of him. He honestly got scared of the camera being held up, especially when the focusing sound of the lens kicked in. In time when he gets more used to things I'll attempt to get him into the studio for some more creative shots. But for now I just wanted to introduce Luke Catwalker Remington as the kickoff for the 2017 Photo of the Day. Happy New Year and Happy 2017 my friends!
